Pay: $20.00–$26.00 per hour
Vytek Laser Systems is looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler to help build our industrial laser equipment. We manufacture much of our equipment in house, and our production priorities can change with customer needs.
What you’ll do
Assemble mechanical equipment from drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
Wire machine systems and control panels from electrical schematics.
Identify changes needed in drawings or schematics and communicate them to an engineer or team leader for revision before completing the work.
Check your work and the parts you use against specifications.
Complete production and quality documentation.
Help maintain production equipment and keep your work area clean and organized.
Perform other duties as needed.
What you’ll need
At least two years of experience assembling machinery, including both electrical and mechanical work.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wire machine control panels from them.
Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
Experience using a multimeter, hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and a soldering iron.
Ability to pull and strip cables and to drill, tap, countersink, and spot-face parts using portable tools and drill presses.
Ability to manage assembly work independently, communicate clearly, and document completed work.
Working knowledge of Windows-based PCs.
Ability to stoop, bend, squat, crawl, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
We’re looking for someone who can take responsibility for a build, stay organized, and raise questions or drawing changes as they come up.
